    Hi Hartmut,

PDF Documentation will be available with the 1.0 release of TILE, which we plan to release in June/July.

    Hi,

I’ve managed to get an instance of tile up and running on my own server, and plan to use it for a class which incorporates transcription in the Spring. But I’d like to know how to edit default settings in TILE. For instance, I’ve managed to produce an XML file that loads in TILE, but when I return to the server later, it reverts to the Swinburne sample. Is there anyway to change the default JSON object in my own TILE instance so that it contains my own transcript & images? And could you explain to me where the transcript should go initially; I’ve looked at the xml output, and it’s unclear to me how TILE is effectively editing the data. There is the header information that ties keys to lines, and then the body that associates lines to images again. Is the issue that TILE only adds the vector objects that link text to regions of image in the JSON format? Does this mean that outside of TILE JSON (within XML) that information is lost on export? The documentation doesn’t explain how actions in the Web GUI affect to the JSON (or XML) output.
