FAQ

FAQ:
Q.) Who selects the participants?
A.) Participants for the Symposium are selected by the Advisory Board in consultation with the Shared Horizons Staff and Sponsors. This team will strive to create a diverse, welcoming environment and especially encourage applications from minority applicants, women, junior scholars, and the general public.

Q.) Must I attend both days of the Symposium?
A.) As the Symposium will cover two differing modes of analysis and intends to create collaborative opportunities, we expect attendees to be present throughout the entirety of both days. If you cannot attend both days, we encourage you to participate in the event via twitter and our podcasts.

Q.) Can I attend the Symposium as an audience member but not present a paper?
A.) Symposium organizers welcome anyone to attend our keynote lecture on March 11th. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate general attendance at the rest of the Symposium events.

Q.) Can the Symposium provide accommodation and travel support?
A.) Participants selected as part of the open call for papers will receive accommodation and travel support.

Q.) What if I have other questions?
A.) Email mith@umd.edu with Shared Horizons in the subject line.
