The Web has made high quality art images from the world’s best collections available to anyone with an internet connection. Social media, particularly social tagging, has allowed users to organize that art for themselves and others. In this talk, Golbeck will present “Art, Tagging, and Social Media” featuring the results of several studies into how people view art online, how they tag it, and how those social tags make art more accessible to different populations.

A continuously updated schedule of talks is also available on the Digital Dialogues webpage.
